Small businesses form the backbone of many economies. They provide local employment opportunities, contribute to economic diversification, and foster innovation. However, small businesses often face unique challenges, such as limited resources and intense competition.

In this context, public support can play a crucial role in ensuring their survival and growth. Fortunately, helping a small business does not always require financial investment. There are numerous ways you can support them for free.

You might wonder, "How can I support small business without spending money?" Here are five free methods:

1.  Leave a Review: Online reviews play a pivotal role in shaping a business's reputation. By leaving a positive review on platforms like Google, social media or on the companies’ website, you help businesses gain credibility and attract new customers. Adding photos or videos to your review can make it more impactful.

2.  Engage with Their Content:Interacting with a business's social media posts can boost their visibility. Like, comment, and share their posts. Tag friends or use their hashtags to further their reach.

3.  Spread the Word: Word-of-mouth marketing is incredibly powerful. Tell your friends, family, and colleagues about the business. You can do this through group chats, recommendations, and community forums.

4.  Subscribe and Interact: Sign up for their newsletters, read their blog posts, or comment on their updates. Engaging in this way helps businesses understand their audience better.

5.  Offer Your Skills or Mentorship: If you possess skills in marketing, web design, or any other relevant area, consider offering your time. Small businesses can greatly benefit from professional guidance or a fresh perspective.

Supporting small businesses is about building community, and every little bit helps! Till I Die will be participating at the Adirondack Sports Winter Sports Expo with other small businesses on November 2-3, 2024. Come on by and say hi.  If you can’t attend the expo but want to check out our gear, visit our online shop.  Winter is coming, and we’ll drop some new designs in the coming month, so stay tuned!
